ARKET SEMLA

Recipe The semla is a classic nordic pastry that can be found in many different versions nowadays. The ARKET café makes it with a mini-version of our tebirkes.

Recipe Ingredients

Almond paste
Chopped roasted almonds
Heavy cream
Mini-tebirkes
Powdered sugar
Sea salt
Water

Method ARKET Semla

step 1 Work the almond paste in a bowl together with a little bit of water until it gets soft in texture, then add the chopped roasted almonds and a tiny bit of sea salt.

step 2 Whisk heavy cream until it starts to get thick but is still shiny.

step 3 Cut the lid off of the tebirkes.

step 4 Add the almond paste on the bottom and the double amount of whipped cream on top.

step 5 Put the lid on and dust with powdered sugar.
