MWOOL® RECYCLED WOOL

Materials MWool® is a premium recycled wool produced in Tuscany by the historic textile company Manteco. Made from recovered knitwear garments, fabric scraps and waste from the local textile industry, it features all of the characteristics of virgin wool and gives new life to a durable and valuable natural material that risks being discarded

Based in the Prato region outside of Florence, Manteco has been manufacturing recycled wool products since the 1940s. Their MWool® yarn is made entirely without the addition of new dyes. The recycled fibres are sorted by colour and carefully blended to obtain a new palette of no-dye shades, which is a process that is almost identical to how it was 80 years ago.
