History Snow jogger

ARKET’s high-cut waterproof Snow Jogger is a remodeling of a late 1970s nylon snow boot, ubiquitous in the Nordic countries in the following decade, featuring a cushioning EVA foam midsole to provide light rebound, and a patterned rubber outsole for improved traction in winter weather.

Originally developed during an era of revolution in footwear, it is a lightweight and athletic design positioned between traditional mountaineering boots and the modern trekking shoe. The concept of a soft and flexible midsole was an invention brought forth in the experimental running and performance shoe industry.

A thick and extra wide foxing tape at the top edge of the sole provides added waterproofing. And combined with chrome-free tanned leather reinforcements at the heel counter and toe bumper, it gives the upper perfectly balanced proportions.

The Snow Jogger is made from Italian nylon and features durable leather lining and moisture-absorbent natural-cork insoles.
