SKEDBLAD CHAIR

Knowledge An original Carl Malmsten design, the Skedblad chair is used in all ARKET cafés since our launch in August 2017.

Designed in 1933 by Swedish architect and furniture designer Carl Malmsten, and named after the bowl of a spoon, the Skedblad chair is used to furnish all ARKET cafés. The chair is based on original drawings from the Malmsten archives and crafted from solid oak by Tre Sekel in Tibro, which is a centre for woodworking and furniture design in the southwest of Sweden. Skedblad was put back into production and made exclusively for ARKET in time for our launch in autumn 2017.
