care Upcycled Down™
Down is ideal for lightweight insulating outerwear because it creates a warm thermal barrier next to the body. Our products have a fill power of 650 (80 percent down and 20 percent feathers), providing optimal insulation for cold temperatures. To maintain their level of performance, we recommend using the Upcycled Down™ jackets in cold and dry conditions. In wet weather, we recommend opting for a layered solution with a waterproof shell. Be mindful that wetting the down can compromise its insulation properties over time.
When it comes to washing and cleaning, we recommend spot cleaning and airing your down jacket frequently in-between washes to refresh it. You can also launder it in the washing machine at a low temperature and on a gentle cycle. Tumble dry at low temperature – it with will take some time but be patient and wait until it’s completely dry. Using tennis balls in the dryer will help distribute the down and feathers evenly.
