Material Recycled wool blend
The recycled wool blend makes use of surplus fibres from the manufacture of lambswool yarn, a resource that would otherwise have been discarded. Because these high-quality fibres are generally slightly shorter than conventional wool, a smaller portion of nylon is added to create a stronger and more solid yarn.
Mixing shorter wool fibres with nylon also results in a lightweight and airy knit with a warm touch. And while pure lambswool can have a recovery problem, meaning a knitted lambswool garment might lose its shape over time, nylon provides stability that helps the knit to keep its original character.
The yarn is designed using a customised spinning technique, whereby the strands of wool are spun with a higher number of twists to make it stronger and more compact, and in two different directions to achieve both firmness and softness.
