Merino also reacts to body temperature – it has a cooling effect when the body is warm and is able to store warmth to protect the body from cold, even when the fibres are moist. The material is naturally odour resistant and tends not to create static electricity. The slightly waxy fibre surface makes the wool water-repellent as well as stain-resistant.
The small Functional Merino collection contains a series of plain-coloured and lightweight merino-jersey base layers. The different pieces are cut with a relaxed fit to comfortably carry the material’s many functional qualities – designed for light workouts, cold-weather layering and high-intensity activities in below-zero temperatures.
